Issues to uncover when interviewing a searach firm include:

  1. Does this firm “walk the walk” around integrity and
    follow-through?
  2. Does the firm provide you all pertinent and useful data from their process?
  3. Who, specifically, in the firm will be working on the search and will you
    be happy working with that person?
  4. Because of the company’s other recruiting efforts, are there any limitations
    on where the firm might recruit from that may limit the candidate pool?
  5. What is the organization’s track record of successes, and failures?
    Are they willing to admit to both?
  6. What does the firm know about recruiting for your industry, your company’s size, and the type of role?
  7. What happens if the search is not to your satisfaction?  Is there any “fine print involved”?
