Issues to uncover when interviewing a searach firm include:
- Does this firm “walk the walk” around integrity and
follow-through? - Does the firm provide you all pertinent and useful data from their process?
- Who, specifically, in the firm will be working on the search and will you
be happy working with that person? - Because of the company’s other recruiting efforts, are there any limitations
on where the firm might recruit from that may limit the candidate pool? - What is the organization’s track record of successes, and failures?
Are they willing to admit to both? - What does the firm know about recruiting for your industry, your company’s size, and the type of role?
- What happens if the search is not to your satisfaction? Is there any “fine print involved”?
